Real Housewives of Dubai Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: Don’t Cross the Caro-line

Caroline Stanbury has had it with living like a vagabond in her friend Michael’s home with her Hermes bag strewn around and Caroline Brooks calling her the See You Next Tuesday word. She has therefore called upon the healing powers of her hypnotherapist Marisa, who once treated Princess Diana.

She tells Marisa that she wants to be more empathetic to her husband Sergio Carrallo and get over being sent to boarding school for the largest part of her formative years.

Caroline admits that she’s a control freak, which Marisa tells her stems from growing up in boarding school, which was out of her control.

They start the hypnotherapy session and Caroline is back to when she was eight or nine years old asking her mom not to send her back to school. Marisa says that when she was young, her mom’s needs came before hers. “Now you have a relationship with Sergio that you’re treating him as if it’s a mother-child relationship.” No one has ever picked up on that…

Caroline Brooks defends calling Caroline Stanbury a very bad word

The next evening, Brooks meets up with Leesa Milan and Taleen Marie. They remind her that she called Stanbury the C-word, which she doesn’t remember. It’s not surprising given how many shots of tequila she had. Gulp, gulp!

“If I used it, then that means I was really mad,” was Brooks’ excuse. Flashback to her saying, “She’s a dumb f*cking c***,” with Taleen next to her so apparently, Brooks wasn’t the only one with a memory lapse.

Brooks explains that she only started turning on Stanbury after she made fun of Taleen for showing her hoo-ha. Taleen says, “Once she explained herself, I was like, ‘You know what? Let’s move forward.'”

They wonder if there’s more to Brooks’ animosity towards Stanbury. Leesa tells the cameras that it’s possible that Brooks doesn’t like that she’s getting along with Stanbury.

Meanwhile, Brooks thinks Leesa is annoyed that Stanbury and Chanel Ayan are getting closer. Can’t they all just kumbaya together?

Caroline Stanbury’s kick-out party minus Caroline Brooks

Stanbury’s friend Michael is so happy that she and Sergio are finally leaving that he throws them a shooing-away party.

Sergio comes sans Stanbury and seems stressed. Sara Al Madani picks up on his energy and pulls him aside. He tells her about his wife’s therapy session and how Marisa told her she was acting like his mummy.

Sara tells him that Stanbury has trauma that she needs to heal from and that she’s using him as a punching bag. “I am not surprised that Sergio is opening up to me because I am like a sister to him. When he met her and when they got married, they were 24/7 with each other. Now that Caroline is pulling away, Sergio is feeling left out and lonely,” Sara tells the cameras.

Stanbury finally arrives and she tells the group that she disinvited Brooks because she called her the C-word.

Sara says, “She was drunk,” to which they all exclaim, “That’s not the point!” She goes on to say, “She needs to apologize but it’s not that deep! She was drinking.” Stanbury points out that Sara wouldn’t stand for abuse just because she’s drunk, to which she agrees.

Leesa enters the conversation and after Stanbury fills her in, she says that Brooks contributes to a lot of drama within the group. “It’s just really crazy that all of a sudden out of nowhere you guys are fighting, you know what I mean?”

“Because she used to be with you all the time and I feel like she kind of just dropped you like a bad habit,” Leesa continues. They all agree that the two Carolines should talk, hopefully without any tequila involved.

Sara Al Madani needs a man who believes in aliens

Sara has agreed to go on a double date with the man Daniel from Taleen’s party. He comes into the restaurant and they do an awkward handshake.

She then forces him to speak Arabic to her and he stumbles through some phrases. Some more questions: Have you ever been to jail? Do you believe in aliens?

“Yeah, I think I do, yeah,” Daniel answers. “You think?” she prods. He says yes and she starts talking about how she believes aliens are among us but they live in different dimensions.

“If I were Daniel right now and she starts with the alien talk, my ass would be out the door as quick as you know,” Taleen tells the cameras.

In her own confessional, Sara says she’s big on aliens and needs to have someone who will discuss them with her all the time. What happened to just being relatively good-looking and nice to animals?

Another dealbreaker is that Daniel is a Libra. Sara thinks he’s nice but has already put him in the friend zone. Womp womp.

The Carolines talk doesn’t go well

Stanbury and Brooks meet up to air out their grievances. “You’re a little late,” Stanbury tells Brooks as she walks in. Already this isn’t going well.

Brooks explains that she is running her new salon and has to be a mom to her kid. “Okay well, we all have our stuff going on Caroline,” Stanbury says through gritted teeth. Oof, the Brits are going to Brit.

Stanbury gets straight to the point and asks Brooks what’s up between them. “We have unresolved issues … I feel like obviously, it triggered me a little bit about the comments made about Taleen,” Brooks tells her.

Taleen’s vag is seriously going to be the death of this season. “Because it’s funny,” Stanbury protests.

She tells the cameras that she thinks Brooks is jealous of her friendship with Leesa and Chanel. “She liked it when I was on my island because she could save me and now I don’t need saving.”

Meanwhile, Brooks says in a confessional that when Stanbury was on the outs with Chanel, she had her back and ended her friendship with both the model and Lesa. “Then Stanbury turns around and becomes besties with [Chanel]. What is this?”

At the cafe, Stanbury tells Brooks, “You called me a see-you-next-Tuesday.” Apparently, Brooks doesn’t remember and says, “If I did call you that, that is so out of line.” She then points out, “We’ve both said far worse things in our life. Did you die? No.”

They clearly won’t back down from their stances and nothing gets resolved from this meeting. Stanbury vows to keep Brooks at arm’s length from now on.
