The last episode of “Real Housewives of Dubai” Season 2 ended with Caroline Brooks and Caroline Stanbury upset over the traditional Bali dresses chosen by Lesa Milan.
According to Brooks, Lesa assigned the dresses deliberately, including her yellow dress. “Mustard? What you put on a hot dog?” Brooks asks the cameras. She thinks that Lesa collaborated with the designer to give the housewives she hates the worst dresses.
Brooks and Taleen Marie can’t even close their gowns and when Lesa calls them, they tell her that they’re not coming to dinner.
“I’m f*cking pissed. It’s 100% disrespectful to not only me but also to the designer,” Lesa says. “There’s a difference between being stylish and being fashionable.”
Meanwhile, Brooks, Stanbury, and Taleen have ordered room service and are having a grand old time in their own clothes. They eat and do imitations of each other and it’s the kekeing that all “Real Housewives” fans love to see.
Reunited and it doesn’t feel so good
The rest of the ladies are back and the claws come out. “You guys look beautiful,” Brooks says as they walk in. “Of course we do. And you guys look basic,” Chanel Ayan replies. “We didn’t miss you guys,” she adds.
She’s not done. “You delusional, judgmental people over clothes. Are you guys that insecure that you wouldn’t show up because of clothes?” Taleen says, “I don’t know why you’re so offended by the way. It wasn’t even your night.”
Stanbury tells Chanel, “You haven’t spoken to me all day, I didn’t even think you’d miss me.” Chanel gets up and points her fingers in Stanbury’s face. “We were supposed to have fun and you isolating yourself, that was your choice.”
Lesa just wants an apology from them and Taleen is the first one to say, “I’m sorry for that. You’re absolutely right.” Brooks apologizes as well and Stanbury says a meager, “yeah, same.“
The voice note heard around the world
Everyone is going to ride ATVs the next day but Stanbury wants to hash things out with Chanel so she wants to take her to the giant Bali swing.
Over lunch, Stanbury tells her that she didn’t know Sara Al Madani’s voice note was originally sent to Lesa when she exposed it during dinner. “Had I known it was from Lesa, I wouldn’t have done that to you. You never told me it was from Lesa.”
“No, but I trusted you,” Chanel says. Stanbury gives her a heartfelt apology and says the point of her sharing the voice note was to poke fun at Sara.
Chanel is not completely innocent in this and a flashback shows her cackling over the voice note and agreeing to play the message in Bali. However, Stanbury sees that she’s truly hurt that Lesa can’t trust her anymore and assures her that was never her intention.
She wants to rebuild her friendship with Chanel and says, “We’ll just take one step back, take it slow. I’m fine with that. So are you and I think that’s a good place to be.” Chanel agrees and they push each other on the swings overlooking the cliff. Thankfully, no one falls off.
The fortune teller couldn’t guess Chanel Ayan’s age but science did
Because the “Real Housewives” ladies love a good fortune teller, they’ve hired one to read their palms. The lady tells Sara that her love life sucks this year. This comes after she told her friend Saba Yussouf just moments before that her love interest Akin got jealous over her doing a podcast episode with another dude. According to the fortune teller, Sara will have better luck the following year. Sorry, Akin.
Stanbury gets told that she’s going to have another baby and it’s going to be a boy. She informs everyone that the embryo she currently has frozen is male. Spooky! “I don’t know if I believe this,” Lesa mutters.
After being sick from cheese, Brooks comes in and does her reading. The palm reader tells her that she’s very busy and emotional, which is strangely what she told the others.
Now for some science. Lesa has the results of Chanel’s forensic teeth evaluation to determine her age once and for all. It turns out … she’s between 45 and 50. “I’m now one of the babies of the group,” Stanbury quips. This is the best news she’s had all season.
