In the last episode of “RHOC” Season 18, Shannon Beador revealed to Heather Dubrow the heartbreaking story about her ex-boyfriend John Janssen seemingly ignoring her bloody pic after crashing her car into a house.
“I’m really sorry. I know this is really hard,” Heather says. “And I know it’s hard to have Alexis here.” She asks if Shannon is up to having dinner with the group. “I don’t know if I should go,” Shannon says because her face is all puffy from crying.
Heather’s love language is acts of service so she offers her glam team to get Shannon ready. The hairstylist takes this opportunity to say, “I never liked John Janssen.” Same, girl, same.
Emily Simpson tries to talk some sense into Alexis Bellino
Emily Simpson has taken it upon herself to convince Alexis Bellino to lay off Shannon. She informs Alexis that Shannon now knows about the Ring videos that John has of the DUI night. “She was bawling, she was shaking. I felt horrible for her.”
“I mean, it’s not just Shannon’s side of the story and it’s not just everyone feels sorry for Shannon,” Alexis protests. Emily tells her, “It just seems like it’s getting dirty and it’s getting salacious and it’s getting mean.”
Alexis says that she can’t take back bringing up the $75,000 lawsuit on camera but she does have compassion for Shannon. However, she tells Emily, “I’ve been f*cked over bad in this too, okay?”
“I’m really sick of everybody taking pity on her when she ran into a f*cking house and is still drinking,” Alexis cries. Emily puts on her coat, defeated. She tried.
Shannon Beador spirals at dinner
At dinner, Shannon tells the “RHOC” housewives that she offered to pay John the $75,000 but he wouldn’t agree to the non-disparagement clause, which prevents both parties from talking negatively about each other. “See, that’s what tells me it’s not about the money,” Emily says.
Tamra suggests to Shannon that she talk with Alexis but that unsurprisingly isn’t met well. “You yourself have said that if you were in my situation, you would feel the same way,” Shannon fumes.
Outside of the dining room, Shannon is venting to Jennifer Pedranti. “John is obsessed with people thinking he’s a good guy. I don’t give a sh*t about Alexis.”
“He was telling me at 9 months, ‘People dream what we have. You are my person, you are my future!'” Shannon shouts.
Jennifer gently leads Shannon back to dinner where they end up talking about Gina Kirschenheiter’s vagina rash.
Shannon Beador tries to nature
Heather has divided the group once again, with Emily, Alexis, Gina, and Tamra going to make some good old-fashioned biscuits. Meanwhile, Heather, Shannon, Jennifer, and Katie Ginella go to a forest bathing, which is like a sound bath but you listen to nature’s music. Ahh, zen.
The guide tells them to notice everything around them but all they can hear is Shannon’s hacking cough. Her body is apparently working to get rid of John Janssen’s demons. “I dispel you, evil spirit!”
As they’re drinking moss tea of the woods, Katie breaks the peace by bringing up paparazzi-gate yet again to Heather. “All the stuff that came about, I feel like it was a little bit sort-of of a set-up,” she says.
Heather is not having it and cuts her off immediately. “All I hear from Katie is whose fault it is and that was the wrong approach,” she tells the cameras. Womp, womp.
Heather Dubrow’s fashion show highs and lows
Heather has teamed up with fashion designer Susan Bender to come up with a capsule of elevated basics. All the proceeds from the sales will go to Family Equality, which is an organization that fights for LGBTQ+ rights.
Emily feels a bit insecure because she’s bigger than the other ladies and Heather had asked her to bring a pair of jeans, while everyone else is given black pants. Also, she’s told to wear an oversized blazer that makes her wonder if she’s overweight.
“I almost was questioning myself, like, am I crazy?” Emily asks. “Have I lost weight? Do I look different?”
Before the show, Tamra tells Heather that Gina is not the bad guy in the paparazzi scandal. She reveals that Gina allegedly told Katie to bring it up but she can’t be a part of it because she needs Heather around to give her rich real estate clients.
Fancypants does not look happy. “Well, guess what. She lost that big time,” she says. Heather needs to focus on her fashion show so she’s going to put a pin in it and save this info for later.
The women strut their stuff in their business casual gear and no one falls on the runway, so it’s a success.
Afterward, Heather tells Gina she wants to talk to her tomorrow and someone knows she’s in trouble. “I should just be forever bent over waiting for my spanking from Heather,” Gina says in a confessional.
Alexis wants to talk to Shannon and clear the air but doesn’t get the kumbaya moment she’s hoping for. “I heard that you wanted to speak to me but I need to let you know I’m not interested, okay?” Shannon says and then walks away. Alexis waves her hands around frantically.
Paparazzi-gate finally gets resolved
Before they leave Sonoma, Heather has planned a winery stop but more fun because they have to bike there. Gina sucks at everything physical and Katie has no stamina for anything other than lifting a dirty martini to her lips. Miraculously, they make it the one mile to the vineyard.
Gina starts by addressing the tension between her, Katie, and Heather regarding the paparazzi scandal. Katie calls Gina out for saying that she’s lying and both are not willing to back down on their versions of events.
Gina starts yelling in her weird accent and people are wondering why she’s all heated. Emily explains that Gina had a rough morning because she’s going through some stuff with her boyfriend Travis after she booted him from her house.
Everyone feels bad for Gina and no one wants to see her spiral. They finally all agree to let the paparazzi thing go and hopefully, it’s not brought up again.
