The wildfire is getting closer so Captain Sandy Yawn wants to get out of there ASAP but they’re boxed in at the dock. After some handy maneuvering with the help of deckhand Nathan Gallagher, she’s able to get Mustique out into the ocean.
Lead deckhand Joe Bradley has been taken off the bowlines so he’s bummed. Speaking of incompetency, Bri Muller is trying her best to get better at laundry so she has a notebook and is writing everything down. However, it doesn’t seem to be working as Sandy calls her to the bridge and tells her that one of her whites is not white anymore.
Chief Stew Aesha Scott reminds her not to wash whites and blacks together. Later, Elena Dubaich has nothing else to do so she’s in the laundry room. She sees Bri’s notebook and it’s full of laundry mistakes that have been written down.
Elena immediately gets suspicious and thinks these “laundry crimes” are going to get pinned on her.
Aesha Scott needs better stews
Aesha is on a break and puts Elena in charge of lunch. She’s running around trying to make the guests drinks and keeps radioing Bri for help.
“I feel so stressed out because the person that I left in charge doesn’t even know where things are,” Aesha tells the cameras.
She finally comes upstairs because she can’t rest and finds the table not set up for lunch. Elena tells her they’ve been making cocktails the whole time. Aesha sets the table and says, “Don’t worry, it’s not you.” It totally is.
“If I was Aesha, I definitely wouldn’t trust me and Ellie,” Bri admits. “Haha!”
Chef Jono Shillingford knows his job is on the line after a few disastrous meals. This time, he has made a Greek feast and the guests absolutely love it. He either sucks or does a great job, there’s no in-between.
Elena Dubaich causes drama over laundry
It’s Sparkle Night for the “Below Deck Med” guests and Jono is feeling himself in the kitchen. He’s plating the grilled lobster over cauliflower rice and there’s decorative drops of sauce. So pretty!
As they’re getting ready for dinner, Aesha thanks Elena for the lack of drama between her and Bri. Then, Elena starts telling her about the drama between her and Bri.
She tells Aesha how she checked in on the laundry that morning and Bri walked in, but makes it sound more nefarious than it was. “She just came in like, basically told me to leave because she’s there now. And I just said, ‘I’m just here to help you on laundry.'”
Flashback to Elena telling Bri, “I’m just here to do a job. Please stop chasing me out.”
Elena then tells Aesha that Bri stormed out of the laundry room. Flashback to Bri slowly walking out of the laundry room. The editors are editing!
“So I was like, okay, this is like really disrespectful the way you’re behaving,” Elena rants. Aesha looks concerned.
She tells Elena that Bri gets thrown off when other people take over the laundry but also understands that other people need to get in there as well. Elena then goes on about the notebook full of laundry crimes, like Gael Cameron’s clothes in the washer without a color catcher.
Now Aesha wants to see this supposed burn book. “Now I don’t want to get involved because she twists it into making it like it’s me causing problems,” Elena says. Isn’t that exactly what she just did?
Burn book, baby, burn
Jono was doing so well in the galley and the guests loved his lobster. That’s where it ends. For dessert, he has made poached pear and placed a gold leaf over it to spruce it up. However, the gold leaf just looks like it was plonked on the pear with no decoration in mind.
When Aesha brings the dessert out, one of the guests thinks it looks like a fancy corndog. Another asks if it’s a baked potato. Someone tries to eat it with a spoon but the pear keeps sliding away.
After the guests half-heartedly ate their pears, Joe and Gael perform a dance in ridiculous sparkly outfits but they’re actually pretty good. Who knew Gael used to be a dancer!
The guests give them a standing ovation and they’ve forgotten about their dinky dessert (hopefully).
Everyone is in bed so Aesha sneaks into the laundry room to check out Bri’s notebook. She reads entries that say, “Swimming towels were washed with the interior rags.” Another notes how Gael’s clothes were washed but still smelled dirty.
“Why is she writing this down?” Aesha wonders. “I mean what is this? This looks like a book of receipts.” She can’t figure out if Bri or Elena is the one causing drama and it’s time to get Captain Sandy involved.
