Chase Lemacks is back on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” as the replacement deckhand for Emma Crouch and stews Danni Warren and Diana Cruz are literally sweating over him.
At this point, he’s just fresh meat who’s the only male crew member taller than 5’8 and they’ve been at sea for weeks with no other choices. If the ladies could only hear him say, “Well, let’s smash it! I’m stoked!” they wouldn’t be so keen to jump on his tender.
The next charter guests are a group of ladies celebrating the primary’s 50th birthday. They’re all about the food so Cloyce Martin has to step it up. That means no more family-style meals, Cheffy.
While the crew brings in the provisions, Diana and Chase have a flirty moment. However, she’s quite shy so it’s Danni who makes conversation with the new deckhand. They have a banter and Diana overhears Danni’s loud teasing voice. “Ugh, shut up,” she mutters.
Daisy Kelliher forgets to order rosé
The guests have their first meal of the charter and it’s apparent they’re going to be high-maintenance — especially Ronnie, the primary. She complains about eating at the table on deck because they’re all sitting on one side.
While they’re eating their watermelon and feta cheese salad with microgreens, one of the guests asks for rosé. “Yeah, of course,” Daisy says. Unfortunately, while looking for the wine, she remembers that she forgot to order some more before the charter.
Thankfully, Diana saves the day and finds an almost full bottle behind the bar. This will only last so long and Daisy asks Captain Glenn Shephard if they can make a pit stop somewhere to buy more.
Daisy sends Danni out to procure some pink wine with Chase but the restaurant is closed and a nearby boat tells her they have no wine on board. Liars.
They finally come across a bar and Danni comes back with a bag of wine. She looks at the adventure as a bonding moment between her and Chase, like she’s Rose and he’s Jack from “Titanic”
When they get back, Danni tells Diana how hot she thinks Chase is. “He winked at me and I malfunctioned,” she jokes. Diana doesn’t say anything but it’s clear that she’s annoyed that Danni has already staked her claim on the deckhand.
Daisy Kelliher and Cloyce Martin fail at communicating
It’s dinnertime and Cloyce has made a succulent seafood experience, with the first course being tuna on crisped rice. After Daisy has cleared the table, she radios the chef but he mutters, “I need to know that before you’ve cleared. That doesn’t help much.”
After the second course, the wind is winding and the guests want to bring the dinner indoors. That means the stews have to clear the table and then set the one inside.
Daisy radios Cloyce to let him know what’s happening and as they’re setting up, he asks Danni if they’re ready for the food but he apparently gives her an attitude. “I don’t know why you’re acting like it’s my job to tell you,” she complains.
Meanwhile, Captain Glenn is distracting the guests with a story about some fish with a dorsal fin and Daisy tries to find a good time to tell everyone to sit the F down for dinner. However, Glenn keeps talking and talking until the stews and Cloyce come in with the food and they awkwardly stand there.
During a small break, Danni complains to Daisy that Cloyce snapped at her about the timing of the service and now the chief stew is mad so she gets passive-aggressive.
As she gets ready to gather the plates, she radios him, “Cloyce, we are currently clearing. It will take us three seconds to walk to the table and clear.”
Once she gets the plates, she says, “We have cleared. We will be in the galley in 40 seconds.” Cloyce is thankfully good-natured enough to laugh but Daisy is grumpy AF.
Cloyce Martin disarms Daisy with his smile
After dinner, Daisy talks to Cloyce in the laundry room about their lack of communication. “Cloyce, if you have a problem with timing, you need to speak to me about it, not to the girls,” she gripes.
Cloyce explains that it helps him when they update him on where the guests are at with their meals but Daisy pushes back and says she needs him to tell her how much time he needs between courses. “I cannot stand there just telling you how far they are,” she insists.
“What I’m more mad about is you snapping at the girls. That creates a big circle of miscommunication,” she says. Cloyce apologizes for that but as Daisy goes on and on, he just stares at her with his goofy face until she smiles.
Daisy blushes and asks, “Have we reached a conclusion?” She tells the cameras, “It’s not how I expected it to go but I’m really glad you’re on my level.”
“Daisy’s intensity is definitely a bit attractive. Sometimes when she’s yelling at me, I am not really paying attention completely. It is easy to get lost in her smile and her eyes a bit,” Cloyce says in a confessional. There’s obviously a spark that even Daisy can’t hide judging by her giggles.
Drama on Parsifal III
The next morning, Daisy is taking drink orders and the primary wants a latte with sweet cream, but not too sweet. She brings her the coffee and Ronnie doesn’t know what she wants. She asks for more cream but then decides it needs to be sweeter.
After Daisy adds more sweetener, Ronnie says she needs more sugar. Daisy brings her a fresh mug of coffee and as Ronnie takes a sip, she makes a face and says, “Ugh.” At this point, maybe she needs to come to terms with the fact that she may not be a coffee drinker. She asks Daisy for some tea.
Later as she’s frolicking in the water, Ronnie cries out because she got stung by a jellyfish. The deckhands pour some antiseptic over her leg but it’s already red and swollen. Glenn tells them to take the stinger out and it helps. The redness starts going away.
After the drama, the crew is having lunch in the mess and Chase asks Daisy, “Don’t you miss drinking with me?” He mentions that everyone has been behaving themselves since he joined the crew and Daisy informs him that Danni not only made out with Gary King but also had a thing with Keith Allen.
Danni gets upset and walks away because Daisy has effectively ruined her game with Chase. “This is why I’m not friends with most girls because this is petty sh*t,” Danni tells the cameras.
