Gary King wakes up refreshed and without a hangover for the first time after a crew night out in “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” history.
He vowed not to drink the night before after realizing that he gets way too hammered and acts like a fool. Therefore, the obvious thing to do is have celebratory drinks with Daisy Kelliher.
Meanwhile, deckhand Chase Lemacks is celebrating for a different reason. He and stew Danni Warren made good use of the master cabin and he’s no longer the dorkiest guy on the boat.
It’s time for the preference sheet meeting and the next group of people are Sharie and Jillian, along with some of their friends and one dude. They request a mixology lesson and a seven-course meal paired with cocktails. “They seem like a fun group,” Captain Glenn Shephard says. He was never so wrong in his life.
Gary King makes a proposal to Daisy Kelliher
Gary takes Daisy out for a cockie to celebrate his one night of sobriety and they have a nice chat about life. “I’m not even really looking for a relationship. I’m having way too much fun,” Daisy says. “What about you?” she asks.
“I want to build a relationship and relationships require work. F*ck yeah, you go through the ups and downs like us,” Gary answers. “We’ve been through a lot of sh*t that most married couples haven’t been through. He then asks, “Could you see a relationship with me?”
Daisy doesn’t take the bait and tells Gary, “You just like the idea of me. Come on.” She thinks Gary needs to work on himself more before he enters a relationship.”
In a confessional, Gary says that he never wanted to be in a relationship because he didn’t want to answer to anybody. However, he now realizes that he needs someone to tell him when he’s acting like an idiot. It sounds like he needs a mom, not a girlfriend.
The charter guests are miserable
The “BDSY” crew is pumped up for the next charter guests and their energy is immediately sour from the start. “That’s the boat right there?” one of them asks as they see Parsifal III. “It’s okay,” another one says as if they’re yacht connoisseurs.
They seem pleasant enough thus far, other than expecting a pool on the boat and thinking the cabins look like college dorms.
As they have some snacks and drinks, one says, “This is nice, you know. Even though, sailboat.” Um, did you not book the trip knowing that you’re going sailing?
Apparently, Daisy is taking too long to make their margaritas and they yell her name. “Is there like a button or something you can press?” they ask. “Miss Daisy!”
The sails go up while they’re all complaining and they’re momentarily distracted. They soon start heeling at a steep angle and that’s when the fun stops.
“I’m definitely about to throw up,” Sharie announces. Chase starts running around looking for a bucket before she yaks all over the deck.
Glenn asks them if they want to stop with the sailing and they say yes, even though that was the whole purpose of the trip.
Gary King tries to entertain the charter guests
Gary tries to get the guests excited about the water toys but at most, they’re indifferent. They seem happiest just sitting around and complaining. “I have no idea if these guests are having a good time,” Gary tells the cameras.
They all go inside for the cocktail class and the first drink is a mango mojito. “Are we going to drink this?” a guest asks as she’s making her cocktail. What does she expect to do with it? Toss it overboard when it’s done?
The next drink is a mango martini. “It’s not sweet enough,” one says. “Yeah, I’ll pass on this,” another one states. It’s becoming clear that they won’t be pleased with anything or they’re hemoglobin levels are low because they can’t get their energy above a 2 at best. Daisy should have made them espresso martinis.
Cloyce spends a lot of effort on the seven-course dinner but when the oysters come out, Sharie complains that she doesn’t eat oysters, even though it’s on her preference sheet. Cloyce makes her a shrimp dish instead.
They then complain that they’re full and ask for a half serving of the cocktails. Danni doesn’t get the message and when she brings the next round of drinks, they complain about not being able to finish the whole thing.
After dinner, they thankfully go to bed and depart the next morning. Before doing so, they chat with Glenn and voice all their grievances. It’s clear they’re setting up the crew for no tip and the “BDSY” team await their fate.
