The “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” Season 5 is full of the stews complaining about how much work they have to do, even though they were hired to do work. Danni Warren starts this episode by telling Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, “I’ve kind of learned with this group in general, even if you’re offended just shut the f*ck up anyway.”

“We’ve got two more weeks and we just want to enjoy each other’s company,” Daisy says. In a confessional, Danni shares, “I feel like Daisy is just always finding a way to sh*t on me. She’s just constantly finding the need to have a go at me.” Flashback to Daisy just telling Danni to do her job, like she was hired to do.

They all need to get their act together because it’s going to be a long night. The guests want to see the Lady of Carmen festival and then return to the boat to have dinner around 10 pm. After that, they’re going to party it up at a club to return around 5 am and eat some lovely snacks, which Chef Cloyce Martin has to get up to prepare.

This proves to be tricky when the stews get into a kerfuffle about the schedule. Daisy tells Danni that she can go to bed at 2:00 am and then have Diana Cruz get up at 5:00 am to serve the guests their midnight feast. “And then when I get up, you go back to bed,” Daisy says.

Diana protests that Danni just had a three-hour break but Daisy tries to convince her that she’s just getting up for a couple of hours and then can go back to sleep. At this point, Daisy is pissed because she’s done charters with way less sleep. Toughen up, stews.

The primary is obnoxious

If we hadn’t known by the last episode, it’s clear now that the primary guest Ronnie is a lot. She’s never happy with how Daisy makes her coffee and now she’s complaining that the black and gold decor for her 50th birthday party looks tacky.

“I can’t, no. Sorry, I don’t like black. I hate gold and black because gold and black is like, ‘Oh, you’re over the hill and all that bullsh*t. No,” she states. Now, the stews have to get rid of the black decor and replace it with boring white stuff.

While on the tender looking for St. Carmen, the guests can’t quite get a view of the statue. “Can we ask the lady to move aside please? Maam, can you move aside?” they yell.

They finally get a glimpse of the statue and they’re happy enough to return to the yacht. When Ronnie sees the decor, she approves of it by saying, “And just a hint of the black.”

In order to placate Ronnie after her jellyfish sting that has nothing to do with the crew, deckhand Keith Allen comes up with a skit that details the harrowing experience.

It’s hilarious with Gary King as Ronnie and Chase Lemacks as the jellyfish, and thankfully, the primary eats it up.

Daisy Kelliher pushes back on Diana Cruz

Daisy is not about to let Diana’s complaining deter her and before she submits to insubordination, she tells her stew that she’ll wake up at 5:00 am to tend to the guests. “I’m f*cking pissed,” Daisy tells the cameras. “Now I’m going to get very little sleep,” Daisy says to Diana.

“This is bullsh*t. I was going to do the job. She’s just trying to be a martyr.” Diana says in a confessional. When a producer calls her out and asks why she’s complaining, Diana says, “Even though I was going to do the job, it doesn’t make it right. Daisy is making me feel like she’s doing this huge favor when she was the one making a mistake, like making me sleep five hours or less.”

The guests go out and Daisy goes to bed at 12:00 am, only to get up five hours later to greet the guests coming back from the club. Cloyce wakes up as well and Keith hasn’t even slept at all.

Cloyce makes them drunk snacks like mac n cheese and pizza and the ladies finally stagger off to bed. Night night.

Danni Warren wants Chase Lemacks all to herself

Diana and Chase are actually slowly getting to know each other and forming a bond but Danni sees this as a roadblock to her latest conquest so she not-so-subtly comes between them.

As the stew and deckie are talking in the wheelhouse, Danni keeps stopping by to ask them stupid questions like, “Have you seen the little knife?” and “Can you tell me where I can get another jug?”

“I know what you’re doing, Danni. She has worked on this boat as long as I have,” Diana says. Chase sees through her as well but he’s flattered by the attention.

During the tip meeting, Captain Glenn Shephard praises the crew for doing a phenomenal job and they split $24,000 between them, which is $2,296 each. Not too shabby.

Gary King tries to be sober during a crew night out

The “BDSY” crew is getting ready to go out and Gary reveals to Daisy that he’s not going to drink that night. After nights of getting hammered and offending his castmates, he wants to dial it back. Daisy is skeptical but hopeful at the same time. “Is this new day, new you?”

“I don’t think alcohol is my friend. I do it as an escape, I guess. Maybe I just do it because everyone else is drinking and I don’t want to feel left out,” Gary tells the cameras.

Daisy says, “I am fully behind this if he is genuinely trying to grow and change. But I don’t see this lasting very long.”

As for Gary, he says, “I’ve got to take some time off and reflect where I want to move forward with my life and whether I’m going to let alcohol control my life like it has been for the last 14 years.”

Gary King

At dinner, the crew orders shots and drinks but Gary remains sober and sticks with mocktails. As everyone gets hammered, he tells Daisy, “You guys aren’t too bad, to be honest.”

Danni Warren and Chase Lemacks get busy

Back at the boat, the “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” crew is having fun and playing games on the deck. Soon, Danni and Chase start making out and Diana is clearly unhappy about how the night is unfolding.

“I hate Ibiza!” Diana yells. She tells the cameras, “When you’re in a boat, and all your life is these people, and you only connect with someone basically like Chase, and now that person is connecting with someone else and now you’re alone.”

“Danni is obsessed with him,” she tells Daisy. “I’m not f*ckng dumb.”
