Gizelle Bryant is still not done kicking her “Real Housewives of Potomac” castmates Mia Thornton, Stacey Rusch, Wendy Osefo, Kiearna Stewart, and Jassi Rideaux out of her brain tumor fundraising event for getting there three minutes late.
Unfortunately, Ashley Darby is the messenger so she’s on the receiving end of everyone’s wrath. She thinks the real beef is between Gizelle and Karen Huger — not the other ladies.
The hired muscle William stands over them ready to pounce and the ladies stomp out of the venue. Stacey is so mad that she’s shaking, she’s physically shaking. To add insult to injury, Ashley runs out with the QR code and asks them to make donations to Gizelle’s cause.
The Sprinter van door closes on Ashley’s arm and now she’s the injured one. Jassi tells the driver Fahmi to book it and they’re out of there.
Ashley Darby’s bunions make their television debut
The next day, Stacey invites Ashley, Jassi, and Karen to her house. Jassi tells Ashley, “I do want to genuinely say that although you were not welcome in my Sprinter, I am sorry that the door closed on you.”
Ashley is about to call her personal injury lawyer. She clutches her arm dramatically and says, “I’m a little sore today, Jassi.”
Jassi argues that the door didn’t even close that hard on her arm but Ashley is not about to let her off the hook so easily.
Karen walks in amid all the yelling and now the target is on her. Ashley calls her out for inviting the “RHOP” cast to her Femme Powered ceremony even though it was in direct conflict with Gizelle’s fundraising event.
Karen says that she just wanted everyone to see her be honored. For what, no one knows, not even Karen.
Ashley accuses Karen of deflecting everything, including her DUI. The Grande Dame comes out and she says, “I am in a case where I could have died.” Well, no sh*t. She was driving drunk. Jassi gives her major side-eye.
Karen then calls Ashley out as shady for giving her Uber gift certificates. She tells her that she should have used the money to take care of the “acorns” on her feet. “You coming for my bunions?” Ashley yells. “I have two of them.” She puts her knobby foot on the counter, proudly displays her bunions, and tells Karen to worry about jail time instead of her feet.
The RHOP moms impart their wisdom unto their daughters
Wendy’s mom is over at her house cooking up some down-home Nigerian food. There’s still tension between their family and Eddie Osefo’s parents. However, Eddie’s father has wished his daughter-in-law a happy Mother’s Day, which makes Wendy’s mom happy.
Apparently, Wendy’s mom and Eddie’s mom were friends but had a falling out. Ultimately, Wendy and Happy Eddie ended up falling in love and it’s like the Montagues and Capulets, except there’s no poison involved.
Wendy wants to invite Eddie’s parents to her 40th birthday party and she looks to her mom for affirmation. “Please do,” she says. “I’m for peace, you know me.”
Meanwhile, at Keiarna’s house, her mom comes over to watch her bungle up breakfast for Greg. “I’m not sure about those pancakes. I just took a look at them,” she says. They look flat as hell. Moms know what’s up.
Kiearna’s mom asks Greg how things are going since moving in together. His answer doesn’t sound too confident. “You know, it’s transitions on both ends … it takes some getting used to.” He adds like she’s his office assistant, “But she’s doing amazing.”
He goes upstairs with his plate of food that Kiearna prepared and her mom asks if there’s marriage in the future. “Seriously?” Kiearna asks.
Stacey Rusch’s boyfriend has a weird rating system
“RHOP” viewers finally meet Stacey’s mysterious boyfriend TJ who’s such a devout Christian that he won’t sleep with her until they’re married. Forget sex, he won’t even give her a kiss hello and they pat each other’s back like adolescents at a middle school dance.
TJ’s hug with Stacey’s trainer is more enthusiastic than his with hers. Like, it’s a full-on bro hug, chest to chest.
It seems Stacey is in denial and tells the cameras that after her divorce, she started to have feelings for TJ and began wondering if there was a second chance of romance for her. “It just started to feel different and I knew something was happening.”
After their workout, Stacey asks TJ why their trainer gave them the big exercise balls. “Because that’s what every Black man wants,” he responds. Say, what?
He then tells her flat out, “Listen, I ain’t sleeping with you, man.” Stacey doesn’t like how he says that and asks how much he wants to sleep with her.
“On a scale of 1-10, the letter K,” he answers. She asks what that means and he says, “Zero!” Doesn’t sound too promising.
Stacey Rusch’s relationship is off the table
Gizelle meets up with Ashley, Jassi, and Stacey for some drinks. She explains that her wrath wasn’t meant to be directed at them and apologizes for kicking them out of her event.
Wendy walks in and announces that it’s her birthday yet again. Hasn’t it been her birthday for three days? Nonetheless, the “RHOP” cast is going to celebrate the turning of 40 during Mia’s getaway and Wendy has made sure to let everybody know it.
Gizelle wants to get to know Stacey, who tells the group that she’s separated and has a daughter. Ashley chimes in, “She has a new friend.”
Stacey is taken aback and looks at Ashley. “She came here over charcuterie and drinks and spilled all my business,” she tells the group. Having a “friend” is hardly any hot tea, especially when they’re not even holding hands.
Confused, Ashley asks, “Is this a secret?” She then tells the cameras, “If TJ’s just a friend, what’s the big deal? Why can’t I just say his name?”
The “Real Housewives of Potomac” ladies are in the Queen City and surprisingly, Wendy and Gizelle are getting along.
During the car ride to Mia’s house, Karen says that she doesn’t want to talk about her DUI and upcoming court case.
“Karen, it’s on the internet,” Mia tells her. Karen gets defensive but Mia tells her that she’s just being a friend.
As always, Karen deflects and responds, “It’s all about taking care of Karen. Like, I’m always soldiering for someone else in my family. It was that moment where it all just hit.”
Mia wants to be there for her and tells the cameras, “I really am not trying to chastise her … but the number one step is admitting you actually did it. She hasn’t even gotten there.”
When they get to the house, there are snippets of drama happening surrounding Karen and her DUIs. There’s talk of Karen going to rehab for alcoholism and she says, “This will show me who my real friends are.” To be continued…
