In the last episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 5, Heather Gay stormed out of Bronwyn Newport’s house after her new cast member tried to make peace. Now, she can’t wait to tell Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks her version of what happened and crashes their spa day.
Heather tells them that she thought Bronwyn wanted to clear the air (which she did) but instead told her that she was a sh*tty person (which she didn’t). Messy Heather!
She goes on to say that Bronwyn was waiting to see if she wanted to include her on the group trip but wanted an apology first. “It was clear we weren’t getting anywhere so I grabbed my stuff and left,” she says.
Lisa chimes in to say that she’s annoyed because Bronwyn called to make sure she was okay coming on the trip with Whitney and Justin Rose. She thinks it was Bronwyn’s way of taking their side and vents that she didn’t even check up on her after the fight.
On a totally unrelated topic, Meredith is upset at Angie Katsenevas’ husband Shawn Trujillo for talking about her son Brooks on a podcast. This group trip is going to be fun.
Bronwyn Newport feels slighted by Lisa and Meredith
The “RHOSLC” cast minus Heather aboard the private plane to go to Thermal, California. Oh yeah, and Mary Cosby is staying behind as well because she’s spending time with her son. At this point, friend-of Britani Bateman got a lot more screen time than her. Mary’s been in like, 4 scenes.
After a short two hours, they all arrive in Thermal and the drama begins. Lisa’s already talking smack about Whitney and Justin being “liars.”
In another car, Bronwyn tells Whitney and Angie about a conversation she had on the plane with Lisa and Meredith about Heather. She feels like they tried to explain Heather’s side and didn’t have her back. “So are they agreeing with her?” Angie asks. “Yeah,” Bronwyn says.
In a confessional, she admits, “You know, I’m incredibly hurt by my conversation with Meredith and Lisa from the plane. If they spoke to Heather and heard her side of things, I don’t know why they weren’t open to hearing my side of things.”
She also questions why Meredith and Lisa are on this trip if they’re completely Team Heather. Girl, you can’t dangle a private jet and a free trip in front of these thirsty ladies and expect them to decline.
No bathtubs or Seth for Meredith Marks
The house is gorgeous with a pool and a lake, and nobody has to share a room. However, what it does not have is a bathtub, which sends Meredith’s husband, Seth Marks, into a tizzy. He frantically runs around trying to find a room with a tub so that his wife can have her daily soak but alas, only showers for her.
Meredith doesn’t seem too upset about the tub but she does when Seth tells her he has to leave the next morning for work.
She tells him, “It’s Sunday!” But he explains that he needs to fly out of Palm Springs to Minneapolis, then to Ohio, which will take all day. “I don’t like this whole thing. I think this is like, this doesn’t add up,” she says.
The man’s gotta make money to fund Brooks’ fashion line but Meredith is upset because she hardly sees Seth.
“Meredith has an insanely high expectation level and sometimes I can’t meet ’em all. Like every f*cking day, I can’t meet ’em all,” Seth tells the cameras.
Bronwyn Newport vs. Lisa Barlow
While Meredith and Lisa sunbathe by themselves on the opposite side of the lawn, the rest of the housewives gossip. Whitney tells Bronwyn and Angie that Lisa wants an apology from Justin but he doesn’t feel like he owes her one.
Angie tries to get the group together by bringing out Vida Tequila shots. They all take the tiniest sip while trying not to make faces. Yummmm.
Bronwyn goes inside to look for her phone and the rest of the ladies take this opportunity to check in on Heather. Lisa FaceTimes her and just when Bronwyn returns, she’s understandably surprised. “Why are we doing this right now?” she asks.
Lisa hangs up and everyone’s quiet like they got caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing, which they were. “It feels a little weird I went to the bathroom and you called Heather,” Bronwyn tells them.
Lisa says they wanted to tell Heather that they missed her but Bronwyn thinks that’s pretty darn shady and calls her out for not having her back. “I don’t just listen when somebody talks poorly about you. I don’t.”
Bronwyn points out that she always defends Lisa to the group but doesn’t feel the same from her. Seems like Lisa is being the bad weather friend this time.
Bronwyn’s husband Todd is over all the fighting and tells her that he’s had it. He then goes outside and tells Lisa’s husband John Barlow, “Lisa’s gotta stop or you guys gotta go.” John says, “I’ll go talk to Lisa.”
Upstairs, John tells Lisa what Todd just told him. She’s so flabbergasted that she can’t say anything and her eyelash extensions just flutter to and fro. Who dares kick the Barlows out! To be continued next week!
