Leroy Garrett is officially a star holder after he won the elimination and stole it from Adam Larson. After Cara Maria Sorbello rallied “The Challenge: All Stars” Season 4 cast to send in Leroy against Brandon Nelson, her thirst for vengeance has been quenched.
“There’s no bad blood on my end. If you throw another shot at me, then I got to throw one back. But I’m not, I’m not aiming,” she tells Ryan Kehoe. “I’m looking to see where things fall.”
“Now in a weird way, I have to keep Kam and Leroy out of elimination,” Cara Maria tells the cameras. “Because, if Leroy goes back in, obviously my star is going to him to go to Kam.” Cara Maria has a target on her back but it’s because she’s one of the best competitors so it’s flattering, yet she’s got to stay on her toes.
Musical Chairs just took a turn
The next daily challenge is “Take A Seat” and they’re all at a big stadium. It’s a musical chairs concept played in teams of two where they have to race to the designated section as soon as TJ Lavin blows his air horn. The pair that fails to secure their seats gets eliminated.
This time, the players get to choose their partners. Cara Maria pairs up with Jay Mitchell while Kam and Leroy go with each other.
TJ calls out the row and they all take off. Everyone finds a seat except for Brad Fiorenza, who runs around like a lost toddler. Laurel Stucky, who is paired with him, yells, “Motherf*cker, Brad!” This is his second major strike after last week’s fumble.
In the next callout, Derek Chavez takes off like a bolt but Veronica Portillo is too slow and Jasmine Reynaud squeezes her out of the last seat. It turns out that Veronica’s seat is within the designated section and Adam is one seat away at the opposite end. He’s the guy who takes your Broadway seat and doesn’t know until an usher shines the flashlight on the chair’s arm. He, along with his partner Flora Alekseyeun are eliminated for the first round.
Round three, Derek is in the lead again and it’s clear he’s a threat. Everyone is so desperate to get a seat that they’re shoving and climbing over each other. Kam takes a fall and hits her arm but she’s okay. The next to get eliminated are Veronica and Steve Meinke.
Tina Barta and Kefla Hare are next to go. For the final round, Derek manages to secure a seat but Jasmine is huffing and puffing. They’re out.
Phase two of the daily challenge
During Phase Two, TJ tells the players that the winners from Phase One get a 30-second head start. Too bad that they’re gassed out from running to and fro while the losers got to rest up.
The teams have to run to the section, grab a token, and bring it back to TJ. They will then be given bags with hooks that they’ll use to balance blocks of weights. Five of the losing pairs will be in the bottom group. People look worried.
Kefla is struggling with a strained hamstring. Meanwhile, Ace Young and Nicole Zanatta breeze through the daily challenge and score the win.
The ones at the bottom are Kam, Leroy, Veronica, Steve, Jasmine, Derek, Laurel, Brad, Kefla, and Tina. TJ tells the players that it’s a double elimination so both guys and girls are on the chopping block.
Nicole Zanatta does a take backsies
Cara Maria and Jay talk about who they want to send down. They realize that Jasmine has alliances with a lot of people and can now skate her way into the final because she has a star after Cara Maria gave her one thinking she’d have a target on her back.
Kam tells people she wants to get voted in with Tina so that she can get a star. During deliberation, Cara Maria hears that Kam wants to go against Tina and immediately knows that Kam’s plan is to win and steal her star. Everyone wants to vote for Kam and Tina but Cara Maria convinces them to vote in Jasmine and Veronica. For the guys, Kefla and Steve are going against each other.
In the arena is a giant rope. TJ explains that the opponents have to get all the rope into their side in order to win. Ace, who has a star, declines to take Kefla or Steve’s place but Nicole sees a physical challenge and is positive she’ll be able to beat both Jasmine and Veronica.
Nicole chooses to replace Jasmine and go against Veronica. While they’re both down there, Nicole accuses Veronica of working with Cara Maria. “I’ve never wanted to work with Cara ever. Ever,” Veronica whispers.
“Laurel will tell you. We all want Cara out of the house,” Veronica says. Nicole then changes the vote to go against Jasmine. Everyone’s screaming. “She literally pulls out the reverse Uno card,” Jay tells the cameras.
It’s a physical challenge
Kefla and Steve go first. It immediately turns into a wrestling match and they’re not focused on the ropes.
Steve manages to push Kefla off of him and push the ropes to his side. Kefla is too gassed out to do anything and Steve wins.
Next up is Jasmine against Nicole. It’s a pretty unfair match, given that Nicole works out and Jasmine likes to sit around and drink wine. Both are respectable pastimes but only one will get you through “The Challenge.”
Jasmine is scrappy though, and she gives Nicole a run for her money. Everyone is banking on Nicole to win.
“Listen, I’m a firefighter. This is like moving hose. It’s just rope,” Nicole says in a confessional. “I feel like I have this game in the bag, literally.”
Jasmine is fighting for her life but she’s not cut out against Nicole. “I’m sorry,” Nicole tells Jasmine. “It’s all good. It was fun,” she replies.
Steve already has a star so he can give one away to a male. “I know whoever I give the star to will have ramifications for the rest of the game and I don’t really want that to happen because I want to put it in a safe place, a neutral place, a Switzerland of sorts,” he says in a confessional. Instead of giving it to his friend Adam, he gives his star to Ace. Weird choice but okay.
