Comments Off on Vanderpump Rules Season 11 Episode 15 Recap: Plot Twist

The “Vanderpump Rules” cast is still in San Francisco for Kyle Chan’s event. Brock Davies asks Scheana Shay how she feels about her conversation with Tom Sandoval and she starts tearing up.

“Like, we’ve had productive conversations and then it’s like, are you being genuine or are you playing me?” she asks Brock. “I have a hard time trusting anyone anymore. I have a hard time believing what’s real.”

Brock tells Scheana that out of Ariana Madix and Tom, it’s Sandoval who reaches out to her.

“Tom has been the most generous, greatest, friend that we’ve had of our whole friend group. And he does things and acts when Scheana needs them the most without even telling anybody else he does them so that is kind of something I’ve always admired about him,” Brock tells the cameras.

Scheana doesn’t agree with Brock and tells him that Ariana is a good friend to her. “I will never turn my back on Ariana because she has always been there for me.”

Lala Kent interrogates Ariana’s bf

Ariana’s boyfriend Dan is on the trip and the group all go to Chinatown in San Francisco. Lala Kent grills him over lunch and asks him what he does for a living, how many clients he trains, when he bartends, if he’s ever been married, what his blood type is, does he have a family history of gum disease, and is he a boxers or briefs guy.

“Dan is handling this interrogation like a champ. He’s not breaking a sweat,” Lala tells the cameras.

Ally Lewber asks Dan what attracted him to Ariana and he says it’s when he shared a story about being racially bullied and she was empathetic. Ariana tells the group that she found Dan attractive after he talked to women without overpowering them in a mansplaining type of way.

“With Dan, he just has like, an incredible perspective on life that I was immediately impressed by. Over the course of having conversations, I was just really drawn to his personality. It’s almost like he knows me before knowing me,” Ariana says in a confessional.

It’s Kyle’s whiskey launch party, which has taken over a few episodes of “Vanderpump Rules” despite him being a “friend of.” Sandoval is helping get the show ready and has even paid for his sound engineer to be there for Scheana’s performance. “Thank you very much,” she tells him. In a confessional, she recalls how he was such a good friend to people without being asked. She gets choked up thinking about it.

Jo Wenberg vs. Katie Maloney

Tom Schwartz convinces Jo Wenberg to talk to Katie Maloney. Everyone is all awkward and Schwartz prods Jo to say something. “Well, I just want to say like, I’m sorry if I ever hurt you,” she tells Katie.

Katie immediately responds, “Sorry if? It’s not a ‘sorry if.’ It’s just a ‘sorry.'” Jo says, “Okay, I’m really sorry.”

“Yeah, it’s weird. You’re weird,” Katie says. “No, no, don’t do that,” Lala tells Katie. Jo says, “I sent you a genuine test about the divorce and I really mean it.”

Lala explains that it seemed weird that Jo texted Katie and then seemingly moved in with Schwartz. He says they never moved in together. At this point, it’s just logistics.

“You guys still stayed together and had sex,” Lala tells them. Jo says it was months after Schwartz and Katie’s divorce but at that point, Katie just doesn’t want to hear it and Jo walks away in tears.

Tom Sandoval introduces himself to Dan

This night isn’t awkward enough already so Sandoval goes over to Ariana and Dan to introduce himself to his ex’s new boyfriend. “I’m Tom. I heard you’re a great guy. I just want to say what’s up,” he says as Ariana pointedly ignores him.

“Appreciate you,” Dan says. Ariana just looks at her phone and is studiously pretending Sandoval doesn’t exist but some random is encroaching in their VIP area. He’s skeeving Katie and Lala out and Brock tries to get him to leave. Dude comes back to drink their liquor.

The random comes back and then throws drinks and gets taken out by security. Sandoval tries to intervene like he’s a bouncer.

Scheana does her “Apples” performance and “Good As Gold” and everybody claps. Yay. Afterward, Scheana tells Ariana how Sandoval stepped it up for her by bringing his sound guy and thinks he’s such a good friend.

“It’s just the same thing over and over with Scheana. I don’t know why she thinks that somehow she knows this man better than I do but, all right girl. Happy for you,” Ariana tells the cameras.

“I just want to continue to see if he’s on a path of growth,” Scheana tells Ariana. “Don’t talk to me about that path of growth,” Ariana answers.

Scheana cries because she doesn’t want to lose Ariana as a friend but still wants to be friends with Sandoval. Pick a lane.

Tom Sandoval goes off

While Scheana and Ariana are hugging, Sandoval walks up to them. He tells Scheana she did a great job and then tries to talk to Ariana, who immediately walks away.

“I just wanted to tell her I’m sorry,” he says. “She doesn’t want to talk to you. I already tried. It’s not happening,” Scheana tells him.

Ariana gathers up her stuff to leave and a producer says, “Ariana, seriously, don’t do this.” She says, “Him f*cking walking up on me talking to Scheana. He doesn’t give a f*ck if I f*cking died in a ditch or got a f*cking deadly STD the way he was f*cking around behind my back. That is non-informed consent and he does not deserve to speak to me. He does not get access to me.”

Scheana tells Sandoval about her conversation with Ariana and how she thinks he’s performative. He whines about it to Billie Lee, who appears out of nowhere. “Do you know what it is? Ariana is f*cking performative. She doesn’t like any of these motherf*ckers. So she can f*ck off saying I’m performative,” he says.

Meanwhile, the producer is still trying to get Ariana to stay but she’s not going let Sandoval use her for a storyline.

“Whatever it is that Tom is trying to get from me, it’s not for me. It’s for him,” Ariana says in a confessional. “I am the final boss in his video game of redemption and because he can’t get to the final boss, he’s f*cking pissed.”

The fourth wall is broken

Sandoval is still ranting. “If you don’t want to film with your ex, don’t be on the show. Seriously, don’t sit back on your f*cking lazy ass and collect a f*cking check for doing nothing.”

Then, he goes over to Lala, Scheana, and Schwartz and rants to them saying that Ariana is not real friends to them. “When push comes to shove, I’m f*cking there, dude.”

Because Scheana always makes thing about herself, she says, “I know! You have been there for me. That’s why I’m struggling. You have been a good f*cking friend and then she convinces me that you’re not.”

Lala the traitor chimes in. “I have my own point of view that I’ve been biting my tongue because it’s very hard to do this … It’s a lot of breaking the fourth wall, so I’m going to do it now. This happened to her. The world rallied around her. She now thinks she is Beyoncé. It’s bullsh*t that she can’t film with someone that she stays under the same roof.”

Lauren from Utah turns gangster. “It’s a lot that she’s saying ‘Don’t f*ck with Tom Sandoval. Don’t f*ck with Tom Sandoval. But I’m going to sleep down the hall from Tom Sandoval.”

“I get it. He f*cking cheated. You did a really f*cking sh*tty thing … but he did not kill somebody!” Lala seems to forget that she threatened to ban anyone that even spoke to her ex Randall Emmett. Scheana agrees with Lala.

“I have never in my life experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly she becomes God!” Lala continues.

In a confessional, Lala talks about being on a reality show and having the obligation to show up and film their lives. Having Ariana walk away from filming was a slap in the face to her. “You have to be truthful, even when it’s extremely uncomfortable.

There are flashbacks of the cast over the years. “We’ve lived these difficult parts of our lives on camera. But if it’s something that actually really mattered to you regardless, you would so it anyways. He’s never tried to talk to me off-camera,” Ariana tells the cameras.

“He could have written something in a f*cking letter and left it on the kitchen counter and I could have read it at my leisure. But if you would only do it on camera, to me, you j just showed your true colors.” The season of “Vanderpump Rules”, and possibly the series, has officially ended. Until the reunion!
